Specific application of guided wave radar level gauge

Page view

The guided wave radar level gauge is equipped with a wave guide tube or a bypass tube on the measuring probe in the foamed liquid and the stirring tank, which can avoid the influence of obstacles, foam and large liquid level fluctuations in the container on the measurement. For the following situations, it is recommended to use still pipes or bypass pipes.

1. There is conductive foam;

2. The liquid level fluctuates violently;

3. Too many obstacles in the installation location;

4. Measure the liquid in the inner floating roof tank (such as some media in petrochemical industry);

5. Medium with too small dielectric constant;

Note: The medium that is too viscous cannot be measured with still pipe or by-pass pipe;

Guided wave radar level gauge requirements for still guide tube or bypass tube

1. The still-pipe or by-pass pipe must be a conductor;

2. The inner diameter of still pipe or bypass pipe shall not be less than 50 mm;

3. The still-pipe or by-pass pipe must be vertical;

4. The inner wall of still pipe or bypass pipe must be smooth to avoid large welds and cracks, and the roughness must be better than 0.1 mm;

5. The inner diameter of stilling wave tube or bypass tube is not allowed to change suddenly, and it should be less than 1 mm; if there is any change.

6. The bottom of the still-pipe must be opened;

7. When installing the stilling wave tube, an equal pressure hole should be opened above the height that the liquid level may reach, and the diameter of the equal pressure hole should be (5~10) mm;

8. When there are multiple mixed liquid media in the tank, multiple diversion holes/pipes are conducive to the free flow of liquid in the tank and pipeline;

9. When there are multiple mixed liquid media in the tank, the distance between multiple diversion holes/pipes must be less than the minimum layer thickness;

10. When installing the bypass pipe, the position of the top isopipe should be higher than the possible height of the liquid in the tank;

11. When installing the bypass pipe, the position of the bottom guide pipe should be lower than the possible low level of the liquid level in the tank;
